What type of photo are you looking for?
The types of photos are outlined on the photo guidelines page but for this contest it is important to remember that we are looking for the photos that best showcase your dog's personality.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ We will be judging them on cuteness, quality, surroundings, and anything else that helps us get an insight of who your dog really is.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ We want your photo to explain who they are just as if they called us up on the phone and explained the photo to us.

Will my dog automatically be chosen to be in a book?
Yes.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ By signing up, you are reserving a spot in the book. As long as you sign up while there are spots available your dog will be included. You must also purchase a copy when the book is completed. It's kind of like Fetch: you throw it, we bring it back.


How do you choose the cover dog?
We here at City Puppies choose the cover photo based on which one we feel is best and fits well on the front of the book. Then we go in the back yard and roll in something smelly.


How many books will be available for purchase after I receive mine in the mail?
Our books are printed in short runs. If you purchase extras when you sign up, you will be guaranteed extra books. If you wait until after the book is published, there may not be any. As we say in the business "Let sleeping dogs order many books." Or something like that.


I have 2 dogs; can I put them in the same photo?
No.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ Any photo with 2 dogs in it will be returned for a new photo.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ Each page is reserved for only 1 dog at a time. Otherwise, feelings of inferiority and diminished sense of being hound us. Get it?


Do you sell photo spots on the back cover?
Yes.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ There are 13 available spots to put your dog￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾒs photo on the back cover.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ Once City Puppies receives all the photos, we will pick 13 photos and contact you to determine if you are interested in purchasing that spot for your dog.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ Each spot costs $25. Reserve early, they run out like a water bowl in August.


When will I receive my order?
As soon as we finish filling a particular edition, we will start printing it.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ This process takes roughly 6-10 weeks. The sooner it fills up - the sooner we can start printing.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ So make sure all the other dogs in the hood know.


How soon will I receive my apparel order?
We try to ship out all items with the books so we place our apparel orders when the books are completed.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ City Puppies will try their best to fulfill your order as soon as possible. It just takes a while because the tape gun always sticks to our paws.


Is there anything I can do to help receive my book quicker?
Yes.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ The more people you tell to sign up, the quicker the edition will fill up.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ As soon as it is filled, we will start printing it.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ So run down to the dog park and hound your friends. Oh man, that joke never gets old.


Can you ship to a post office box?
Yes.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ City Puppies ships using USPS so post office boxes are ok. Except you don't get to bark at the mailman.


Can I change the photo I submitted after I have signed up?
Yes.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ You have 5 days from your submission to login to your account and change your photo.￯﾿ﾯ￯ﾾﾾ￯ﾾﾠ After 5 days you will not be able to change your photo, sorry. So schedule the puppy makeover accordingly.

I am still confused as to what the book looks like?
